Here is where it all begins!   The Private License allows a pilot to carry passengers and to fly to airports all around the country.  From your very first lesson you will begin learning all aspects of becoming a pilot including aircraft systems, aerodynamics, navigation and weather.   Training consists of many stages including pre-solo, solo, cross-country flights, night flying, flight maneuvers and passing FAA written and practical exams.   Obtaining your Private Pilot Certificate takes commitment; however, it will be one of your most exciting and fulfilling accomplishments.

Congratulations....you passed your Private Pilot License and are now ready for the next step...Your Instrument Rating.    This allows a pilot to fly in the clouds and during times of reduced visibility.  The training requires a minimum of 50 hours of instrument flight, that is, flight using the instrument panel as your only reference.  In addition, this Rating requires the successful completion of both written and practical tests.

Your Commercial Rating will allow you to be paid for your flying services. . .  What could be better!   This is the next rating for those persons interested in in a career in aviation.   Requirements include at least 250 flight hours and must be proficient in a complex airplane.

Are you passionate about aviation and looking to pass along your aviation knowledge?    This certificate gives you the ability to instruct students as well as log flight time while doing so.   A Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) is able to provide instruction to primary students and for Commercial ratings.   In addition, with a second certificate, the Certified Instrument Instructor (CFII) can also perform advanced training.  Solo Aviation can help you obtain both of these certifications.
